For thousands of years, observation and interpretation of the solar system and its relation to points on Earth has informed the language and art of astrology. However, a reverence for human reason banished the spiritual from science during the Age of Enlightenment.

One could argue the extremes with which we now grapple – between religious fervor and science – are the direct result of separation between spiritual evolution and technical achievement.

Is it possible that the salve for our technological emphasis may be in found in a quest for the mystical?

Astrologer Pamela Cucinell will provide insight into how science and the mystical arts can share households, once again. She’ll explain how astrology offers avenues to self-awareness, community and individual growth. During the experiential portion of the evening, Pamela will ground us in a guided meditation, guiding a dialogue with the mystical to transcend our seemingly impossible challenges.

It is suggested that attendees have a copy of their birth horoscope before the presentation – and registrants are encouraged to go to Astro.com to generate a free horoscope. The symbolic resonance will come alive and inform, validate and provide guidance during the presentation.

Pamela Cucinell graduated from Syracuse University with a BFA in painting and spent her twenties coming to the realization the NYC Art World wasn’t her world. By her first Saturn Return (happens around 29 years old) she was in a full throttle search for purpose, which brought studies of yoga, meditation, tarot, reiki and astrology. She studied at the CS Jung Center and is a “graduate” of Jungian analysis. She holds the National Council for Geocosmic Research NCGR professional certification for astrological consulting. Pamela considers astrology a symbolic language she deciphers with the expertise of an artist and storyteller.

In addition to her work as an astrologer, Pamela obtained Reiki Mastery, and was the proud owner of the beloved metaphysical and wellness store in Mount Kisco, Sunburst Oasis. She served as the Legal Information Chair for the Association for Astrological Networking (AFAN) as well as an active lecturer for the National Council for Geocosmic Research in NYC. She is co-director of WHN Westchester Holistic Network, (WestchesterHolisticNetwork.org) and hosts monthly meetings to build community, and writes the monthly Planet Watch column in Natural Awakenings.

Pamela, her husband and her mother-in-law moved from New York to Chapala, Mexico in 2019, where she continues to serve clients in many time zones.
