Why do Narcissists and Borderlines Get So Much Attention? with Dr. Andrew B. Klafter
December 14, 2022 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Free
Back by popular demand! We’re so pleased to announce that Dr. Klafter has agreed to return to KSG to give this illuminating talk – suitable for psychotherapy professionals and the general public. Learn more about the features and traits of narcissism and borderline personality disorders, including:
- What is personality, what is a personality type, and what is a personality disorder?
- What do we mean by “Borderline” and “Narcissistic” when we describe a personality type or disorder?
- How do we identify Narcissism and Borderline states with our loved ones? Is it the same process how we diagnose these issues with our patients?
- How do people with Borderline and Narcissistic problems make us feel?
- Why do they make us feel this way? Is it their fault? Is it our fault? Does everyone feel this way about them?
- Why is there so much attention in the media about Narcissism lately?
- Why do most therapists dread Borderline patients? (Why do some therapists love them?)
- Which term is a bigger insult: Narcissistic or Borderline?
- Is everyone a little Narcissistic? Is everyone a little Borderline? Or, no, are these problems really beyond the normal range of personality function?
- What do people with Borderline and Narcissistic problems teach us about ourselves?
