DESCRIPTION:Elements and actions of personalized health\n\n\n\n\nThis dynamic evening promises to invigorate your understanding of the elements of health\, and the specific actions that support personal well being.  Based on the ancient twin sciences of Ayurveda and Yoga\, coupled with the modern discoveries in neuroplasticity – the science of the brain’s resilience\,  this evening will bring you face to face with your elemental nature.  You’ll learn  about your Dosha\, and its constitutional (prakriti) and lifestyle (vrikriti) expressions.  In an engaging session full of discovery and learning about  Ayurveda’s TriDosha Philosophy of kapha\, pitta\, vata; the breath of the nervous system; and how to  build resilience\, Deirdre will conduct  a group coaching session that delivers essential  knowledge and invokes  behaviors  that will enhance your understanding and  willingness to truly and effectively care for yourself. \nDeirdre Breen is a Duke Certified Integrative Health Coach\, ISHTA Certified Master Yoga Teacher\, (Integrate Science of Hatha Tantra and Ayurveda)\,  Reiki Master Trainer\, ordained minister of spiritual counseling\, trained addictions counselor\, and founder of Self-Care Institute\, Inc\, an organization dedicated to improving health-care through  self-care.   Her interest and dedication to health and healing both personally and professionally spans over 30 years.  Her training at Duke Integrative Medicine emphasized the mandate of health behavior change as the root of health and healing.  As a result  Deirdre developed a dynamic approach to health and healing she calls Dosha Coaching which blends her extensive knowledge and training in health coaching\, yoga\, Ayurveda\, meditation and addiction recovery.  Dosha Coaching supports individuals in understanding the elements of health\, the behaviors that nourish\, protect and preserve well being\, and incoevaporatest scientific discoveries in neuroplasticity – the ability of the brain to transform.  A native of Katonah\,  Deirdre’s professional and volunteer work expresses a deep connection to nature and the imperative of natural settings to facilitate healing.   Her healing service ranges from yoga and meditation classes\, lifestyle study groups\, health education\, personalize health planning and year long sustain inquiries in to whole person health at libraries\,  yoga studios\, private homes and community groups.
