SUMMARY:Acceptance\, Compassion & Empowerment with Michelle P. Maidenberg\, Ph.D.\, MPH\, LCSW-R
DESCRIPTION:It’s common for us to feel trapped by our inner commentator or habitual patterns of behavior. From time to time\, we all have regrets\, struggle with relationships\, or wrestle with a sense that something is not right. And\, when faced with these challenges\, it’s easy for self-worth to take a nosedive\, causing us wonder where we went wrong\, and to wish for a “do-over.” \nMichelle P. Dr. Maidenberg’s approach – which she calls the ACE Method (Acceptance\, Compassion\, and Empowerment) – offers tools for those who feel slightly “stuck” and are seeking personal growth as well as those with more complex “stuckness” caused by trauma\, cumulative stress\, or other significant challenges. \nDuring her presentation\, Dr. Maidenberg will walk us through exercises to explore: \n\nEmotional avoidance and how it shows up in your thinking and decision-making\nA healthy way to engage with painful experiences and emotions so we can build better relationships\nHow our core values help guide us in making sound decisions to foster our satisfaction and contentment for a thriving life\nHow we cultivate self-acceptance\, self-compassion and empowerment to increase our overall well-being\n\nWe hope you will join us for this inspirational presentation that promises greater self-awareness about our core values\, and about a form of self-acceptance that’s radically liberating. \n\nWE HOPE YOU’LL JOIN US! \nPlease this registration button to reserve your seat on Zoom.\nNote: A recording will be available after the event\, but you must register to receive the link. \nRegister for this Event \n\nTHIS IS A BY CONTRIBUTION EVENT \nClick on the contribution button and pay what you are able.\nThe suggested amount is $10 (US)\, but if you are not able to contribute at this time\, please simply register.\n \nPlease Make a Contribution to Help Us Cover Expenses — Thank You! \n\nAbout the Presenter\nMichelle P.
