DESCRIPTION:In 2014\, Governor Cuomo and the New York Senate approved The Compassionate Care Act\, enabling New York residents with a limited number of qualifying conditions to participate in a heavily regulated state program. \nThere have been many additions to this program in the past two years\, leading to legal\, social\, and medical advancements.  We will look at the future\, and the need for adressing mental health issues and current findings. \nWe will begin with an introduction of medical marijuana and how it works.  This discussion will include the qualifying conditions\, chemical components\, and an explanation of the endocannabinoid system. \nNo powerpoint.
