SUMMARY:Janin Gunderman\, Feldenkrais Practitioner presents Movement for a Higher Quality Life
DESCRIPTION:This event will be held online\, via Zoom.\nLog-in details will be shared with registrants. \nThe Feldenkrais Method® is a powerful and revolutionary approach to improving your life that uses gentle\, mindful movement to bring new awareness and possibility into every aspect of your life. Developed by Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais\, the Feldenkrais Method has helped millions of people worldwide. \nJanin will introduce the Feldenkrais Method®\, it’s benefits and how it how it differs from other alternative health care practices. Then she will offer a gentle guided experiential lesson 35-40 minutes done in sitting\, so you’ll experience the type of explorations that can improve their neuromuscular/skeletal organization\, improve balance and flexibility and reduce pain. After the session Janin will open up the meeting for questions. \n\nJanin Gunderman\, Feldenkrais Practitioner\, BSN\, RN\, MS\, ANP\, GCFP\, MFR\nJanin trained with David Zemach-Bersin and graduated from his 4 year Professional Feldenkrais Training Program in 2013. She holds a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from William Paterson College in Wayne\, NJ and a Masters of Science from Columbia University in the area of Adult Nurse Practitioner. She worked as a nurse/nurse practitioner in a variety of positions including the Peace Corps\, medical and surgical intensive care units and out patient primary care units. \nSince graduating from the Feldenkrais Training Program\, Janin has worked as a Feldenkrais practitioner with the Feldenkrais Foundation and Feldenkrais Institute and currently works for Physical Therapy & Feldenkrais NYC and her own practice in Westchester. \nJanin left her nursing career to raise her family and explore her love of pottery. After suffering several back injuries she discovered the healing potential of Feldenkrais. She remains intrigued with the Method’s life affirming ability to assist individuals in regaining a healthy body\, mind and spirit.
