SUMMARY:Integrative Medicine  Approaches to Substance Abuse\, Depression and Anxiety
DESCRIPTION:This presentation will illustrate how we can use the wisdom of western medicine while being mindful of many other healing traditions. Dr. Feuerstein will use case studies\, and active interaction with the audience to deepen our understanding of how we can heal substance abuse\, depression and anxiety\, if we view these health issues from multiple perspectives. \nThe evening will feature three Case studies with an Integrative treatment plan and evidence for efficacy including; \n Nutrition 101 \n Sugar and Neuroscience \n Exercise \n Botanicals \n Acupuncture \nJoseph Feuerstein\, M.D.\, is Director of Integrative Medicine for the Stamford Hospital System. He studied medicine at the University of London and Business Management at the University of Cambridge\, England.
