SUMMARY:The Miracles Among Us with Marc Siegel\, MD\, Author and Internist
DESCRIPTION:Almost everything a doctor sees can be explained by science.\nWell\, almost everything.\nDrawing on more than 30 years as a physician at NYU Langone\, Dr. Marc Siegel explores the mysterious intersection of faith and medicine\, made real by sharing the true stories of patients whose healing defied the odds.\nThe heart of this evening’s presentation will be what Dr. Siegel refers to as soft miracles — not single inexplicable events — but the accumulation of small\, interconnected moments\, when grace\, coincidence and human connection produce extraordinary outcomes. \nInspired in part by the soft miracles surrounding his own parents — who lived to 102 and 100 — Dr. Siegel will share remarkable and relatable accounts of miraculous synchronicities. While his message may be rooted in his faith\, his stories are universal\, and hold meaning for everyone. Expect an hour of science\, reflection\, and human connection in healing\, as well as time for conversation and questions. \nWe request that you log on promptly at 6:30 pm. \nDr. Siegel will present until 7:15 pm\, and a discussion with Dr. Mark Banschick and Dr. Robert L. Bard\, Manhattan radiologist will follow.\nWe will not be recording this particular webinar.\nIf you’ve registered and made a contribution and would like to request a refund\, please contact us at katonahstudygroup@gmail.com\n\nMake a Contribution\nClick on the contribution button and pay what you are able.\nThe suggested amount is $10 (US)\, but if you are not able to contribute at this time\, please simply register.\n \nPlease Make a Contribution to Help Us Cover Expenses — Thank You! \n  \n\nAbout Our Presenter\nMarc Siegel\, MD\, is a practicing internist and Clinical Professor of Medicine at NYU Langone Health\, and he makes frequent appearances as a Senior Medical Analyst for Fox News. \nDr. Siegel is also medical director for Doctor Radio on SiriusXM\, a member of the board of contributors at USA Today\, and a columnist for The Hill and The Wall Street Journal. A graduate of Brown University and the SUNY Buffalo School of Medicine\, Dr. Siegel has been on the teaching and clinical faculty at NYU Langone for more than 30 years.
