Medical Marijuana Now – An Update with Dr. Lynn Parodneck
February 24, 2021 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
FreeIn 2014, Governor Cuomo and the New York Senate approved The Compassionate Care Act, enabling New York residents with a limited number of qualifying conditions to participate in a heavily regulated state program.
There have been many additions to this program in the past two years, leading to legal, social, and medical advancements. We will look at the future, and the need for adressing mental health issues and current findings.
We will begin with an introduction of medical marijuana and how it works. This discussion will include the qualifying conditions, chemical components, and an explanation of the endocannabinoid system.

From Dr. Lynn Parodneck
“I am a doctor with over 20 years of experience. Educated at Sarah Lawrence College and New York Medical College, I trained in Obstetrics & Gynecology and formed a private practice on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. In recent years, I have made a major career transition to community-based medicine as a full-time medical marijuana practitioner. I operate a sole practice out of my residence in northern Westchester, where I have lived since 1989 and raised my two sons.
With over 500 active patients, I am one of the leading medical marijuana clinicians in New York, with numerous referring specialists and an extensive professional network in the cannabis industry. I am an advocate for education on medical marijuana use and the expansion of New York’s Compassionate Care program and have been interviewed on NPR. My speaking engagements have also included the Westchester Psychological Association, Westchester County Senior Alliance, as well as numerous private clubs, assisted living communities, and public libraries in New York State.”
