Beyond Stimulants: New Approaches to ADD and Memory with Mark Banschick, MD
January 1, 2016 @ 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm
$20.00These days, Attention Deficit Disorder is commonly diagnosed both in children and adults. Stimulants are the go to treatment, which while potent, can cause a variety of side effects. In this presentation we will look at the diagnosis of ADD/ADHD both historically, and with respect to contemporary brain research.
-
Question: Can we heal these patients and not just treat them?
We will look closely at the variety of attention issues as well as co-morbid learning, behavioral and memory problems that are found in this population. No two people are alike, and certainly, no two ADD/ADHD patients are alike.
The evening will feature case studies which illustrate a number of adjunctive and stand-alone treatments for ADD/ADHD that may be worthwhile to consider.
We hope to have a fruitful discussion.
