Is Proud to Present

 Mark A. Michaels, Patricia Johnson

and Barbara Bartlik, M.D.

We are delighted to host Mark A. Michaels, Patricia Johnson and Dr. Barbara Bartlik for a discussion about sexual intimacy - a timeless subject - from the ancient Indian teachings of Tantra.

An Introduction to Tantra

Tantra is an ancient Indian tradition that recognizes sexual energy as a source of personal and spiritual empowerment.

Join us as we discuss key principles of Tantric practice, and dispel some of the myths surrounding this ancient tradition.  We will also share simple but powerful practices that will enable participants to start working with the body and its energies, either alone or with a partner.

Mark A. Michaels and Patricia Johnson are the authors of The Essence of Tantric Sexuality and Tantra for Erotic Empowerment.  They are a devoted married couple and have been teaching Tantra since 1999.

Discussant: Barbara Bartlik, M. D. is a psychiatrist and sex therapist at New York Presbyterian Hospital / Weill Cornell Medical College .  She practices both in Manhattan and at the Westchester Division of the Payne Whitney Clinic in White Plains, NY .  She regularly incorporates complementary and alternative medicine techniques in treating patients with psychiatric problems.  She will discuss the value of Tantra to sex therapy practice.
