Welcome to Katonah Study Group
The Katonah Study Group for Integrative Medicine (KSG) was established 11 years ago by Dr. Mark Banschick, a child/adolescent psychiatrist and Saundra, C. Blum, an Ericksonian hypnotherapist and past-life regression specialist. The main activity of the Katonah Study Group for Integrative Medicine is our monthly Wednesday night meetings where we present lectures by health professionals as well as holistic practitioners. These meetings are often lively, informative and experiential, reflecting our membership’s comfort with mutual sharing and group experience. In addition, KSG has a relationship with a Vassar College and exposes young people to some of the current issues in medicine through a very successful internship program. It is important to point out that although the main focus of KSG is medical, the underlining tone of the group is spiritual. Our philosophy states that true healing needs to take into account not only the physical aspect of the patient but also the emotional, mental and spiritual. We see ourselves as an ongoing resource for local healing professionals and ultimately, a resource of knowledge and information for the Northern Westchester/Fairfield County communities. |
